Tuesday Haikusday: Exile, Part Deux

You Guys,There are boxes. Lots of them. Some of them, I explored. Some of them I cannot for they are filled with things. My things, the FODs’ things, the house things. I think it’s happening again. I think I’m going back into…exile. I haven’t any recourse presently but to express myself through haiku. Eh hem…

I see these boxes. Inwardly, I weep.
Inwardly, I weep as I sit on box “pequeno.”

I see the boxes

Am I to be boxed up, too?

Exile comes again.

I will count the days

Until I can return home.

Scratch numbers on walls.

What will I find there?

Checks mix, Esteban, or worse?

I fear for my mind.

I don’t know yet when it will happen…. but I know it’s coming soon. Prepare yourselves.

PS. Last week’s Bachelor Philbert found a home!!! So I have reverted to the previous week’s bachelor Wolfie. Maybe he can find one, too!  Hurray for Philbert!

After scheduling this post filled with jokes and good news, we got some sad news.

I would like to dedicate this post to Levi, the blind/deaf senior kitty we have written about so many times. He’d found his forever home only a few months ago and started a new job as a therapy cat, but then, just this Monday, our little friend crossed the Rainbow Bridge. We are so thankful that he found his forever home before then with Katie, a wonderful lady who does so much for special needs cats.  It’s astounding how much he touched our hearts through the internet, through his photos and his beautiful face. His loss has brought tears to many, including us, but his life brought joy. Levi, we love you and we will miss you.

Goodbye, Levi.
Goodbye, Levi.

  • We are so very sorry to hear about the passing of your friend Levi. Sending his Mom Katie gentle purrs. (Yikes Crepes, exile again…good thought to you all!)

  • Sorry to hear about Levi. Bless him. Not exile again. I sure hope not Crepes. Good to hear Philbert found a home.

  • What sad news about Levi, but we are so pleased that he was in a loving and forever home when he passed to the RB. Things are not sounding too good at your house, Crepes. We know you will not be sealed in a box, but purrhaps you should hide out in the Wolverine Den for a while. XO, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo

  • Mwahhhh! We are saddened by the loss of Levi too, but take comfort in knowing his last months were happy ones filled with love and in a forever family. Fly free sweet boy.
Exile again?! Oh nos, what will you experience during this adventure? With all your talents Crepes, I know you will make the best of it, and find something to entertain yourself with to pass the time. Don’t worry too much niece, you will be back home before you know it and then you can milk the FODs for everything it’s worth! Smooches!

  • So very sad about Levi. It is amazing how attached you can become to a kitty on the internet..

  • Hearing about Levi made us sad but the most wonderful thing I can imagine would be having at least a few months in the world of love which he had with his brief forever home. There was “happy” in his life….that makes me happy. As for all those boxes? I think soon – very soon – all the boxing up and unboxing will be done and you all can settle back down and RELAX! Sound good??? Let’s hope it happens soon!

    Hugs, Sammy

  • We’re very sorry about Levi, but are happy that he was able to find love and a job that he loved at the end of his life.

If you’re going into exile, does that mean that your house is going to be all fixed up from the Great Flood?

  • Oh Crepes, I’m sure those boxes might actually be FUN to play in 😉 Sorry about your friend. At least he was able to live out the rest of his life helping others and living with people who cared about him.

  • Oh Crepes meez not even know where tu stawt. So fiwst, yous lookin’ pawsum. Sowwy all yous fings be in boxes but meez suwe yous not gunna be boxed up. 🙂 Second meez so glad dat da kittys found homes specially afuw goin’ tu heaven. Wees had da leaky eyes when wees wead dat.
