Since it seems that the only thing anyone in the Midwest can talk about is the weather, I thought I’d join in with my own thoughts on the subject. I give you haikus about the cold. Eh hem…

Bubbles turn to glass
Boiling water turns to ice.
And yet I nap still.
.
Snow covers the world,
Dancing crystals catching light
inciting my chase.
.
Wind burns on your skin
because the dog pees outside.
Bonus points for cats.
.
Is it cold where you are? Tell me about it. Is it warm instead? Keep it to yourself.
Love,
Crepes.

Crepes that was great. Dang cold in WI too. Last 2 days 50 and 45 below with the windchill. And Monday was also minus 14 plus the windchill. Brrr. Welcome to Cat Scouts. Tubby is my boy and he says hello!

Crepes, it’s so cold here we can’t even think of a haiku.
I like your haikus, especially the last one. It is very mild here – mid 50s, but we are getting gale after gale with lots of flooding and very high winds. We don’t often get snow but the temperature should be around 30F.
Bonus points for cats! Our weather is nowhere near as bad as the rest of the country, but our litterbox is an the unheated sunroom. That’s close enough to having to go outside for us.
sounds like everyone’s chilly! Put on your jammies and stay by the fire! I don’t have a fire, so I use a battery operated candle. I have a good imagination. – Crepes.
love that poem, especially the dog part lol. we are in Detroit so you know we are having what you are having!
The cold is good for your creativity judging from these haikus! It’s the coldest day I can remember north of NYC. Only crazy Odin, the wannabee cat Husky ventured out today but wisely back on the warm radiator.
Hi Crepes. I love your Haiku especially the end about bonus points for cats. MOL. Mom checked her phone at 6:00 AM and it was – 11 F. She was going to get up in the middle of the night and check but she couldn’t drag herself out from under our electric blankie. She doesn’t know how cold it actually got. She took a picture of the outside thermometer at 9:00 AM and it was still around – 6 F. It’s all the way up to zero now. Stay warm and snuggly! Love, Cali, Andy, Tater and Shelly (C.A.T.S)
Pee Ess: Andy is in Cat Scouts. We are glad that we found your blog.
Fellow cat scout!! Thanks for dropping by. Do you have a blog too? 🙂 Crepes.
Our Mom hasn’t made a blog yet. She has told us that she will start a blog soon. We will let you know. Thanks for asking.
Hi Crepes! It has been quite cold and snowy here, too. It was in the single digits when the Mom when to PetSmart for us on Sunday.
It is supposed to be in the 50s later, though. That’s good news because our weather usually heads your way, so you should be warming up soon, too!
MOL Bonus points for cats!! We love that last one too!!!

The last haiku is MY favorite!
