Friends,
A few days ago we learned of the loss of one of our personal friends, Ms. Truffles the Tortie from Mochas, Mysteries and Meows. She was only a few years old and had just found her forever home two years ago with her dear MomFOD Melissa. And then, suddenly, she was gone. There was no warning and nothing to be done.
When Rocky passed on not quite a year ago, Truffles and Melissa were beyond kind in making a donation in his memory to Tabby’s Place, one of our favorite rescues. It brought great comfort to our family that they would do such a thing and, at the time, we hoped we’d have no reason to return the kindness. Alas, it happens that the time has come much too soon.
Truffles and Melissa are the sponsors for two kitties names Truffle and Cinnamon from PAWS in Connecticut, and so we decided to do the same. This month, we are the sponsors for dear little Buddy, and we hope that we can perhaps help him find a home. We know that it won’t erase the hurt from Melissa’s kind heart, but perhaps it will bring some comfort knowing that one kitty has a little extra help this month in memory of her tortie girl.

As you know if you read our blog on Tuesday, we were just devastated to learn about Truffles. It is beyond unfair….they had so much living to do together.

Cody and I sponsored a beautiful kitty at Tabby’s Place who was adopted a few months ago, and since then, we also sponsor another kitty there……….we just keep sponsoring the same kitty til they find a furever home, then move on to the next. We figure since we can’t have more than two pets here, that’s the least we can do.
You are one sweet Angel and this was a beautiful way to honor Melissa and Truffles!
