Tuesday Haikusday: I Sleep

You Guys!

Today, I wanted to throw it back to something simple. Something peaceful. Something of which I really need more. Today, I wax poetic about sleep. Eh hem…

crepes sticks out her tongue small

In the dead of day

I languish in the puddle

Of sunlight and warmth.

.

You see me sleeping

And leave your lunch unguarded.

What is this? Tofu?

.

Should I do one thing

In my life with abandon

It will be to sleep.

Do you have a haiku you want to share with me about sleep? Put it below! I love haiku in the comments.

Love,

  • Our Mom injured her right hand and arm so she is really late in doing everything. She can’t even feed us or scoop our boxes–she has to have someone else do it…but right now she is going to try to see if she can type!
We love your haikus…so here we go with our effort:

    The rain is falling
It is a good day to sleep
    Don’t think I will move

    Lying on the bed
Hogging all the space and more
    Too bad, Mom must pee

    She tries to get up
I refuse to move at all
    I laugh silently

  • Pawsome Haiku Crepes 🙂
We just enjoy it as it would take us 10023587+ years to come up with one 😉

  • LOL and MOL. Mom says that she is too brain dead to write a haiku, but we sure loved yours. Tofu…yuck! Remain napping and showing off your adorable pink tongue. It is a much better plan. XO, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo

  • Great haikus Crepes! I’ll give it a whirl…….sleep is one of my fave things so I should be able to squeeze off a haiku about it.

    Gentle snores in sleep
    Unlike roaring snores of Dad
    My snores make Mom smile……

    Hugs, Sammy

  • Hi Crepes! Hey Im first! My first time being first! Everyone else must be sleeping..hehhhehe! My haiku is not about sleep but its a haiku about your haikus (i have another haiku in the works but still working on it)

    They call Sunday Funday
But I say, no way man!
Tuesday is the funnest day of all

It is a day that haikuing takes place
    Crepes poetically waxes
    Much like Mop and Glo

I read the haikus and inspiration hits
    A song?poem? what should I write?
    My creativity oozes
much like a clogged drain. or a blister.but better

thank you Crepes for being my haiku mentor

    Luv
