That is actually a Damsel Fly (you can tell by how he/she holds his/her wings when at rest). Imagine how confusing it must be to be a MALE “Damsel” Fly! I guess it would cause the Damsel to be “in distress”! Cool pictures, though! Was a zoom lens used or did your Mom get REALLY close?
