Tuesday Haikusday: To Ms. Phoebe

You guys,

I’m sad to report that Ms. Phoebe, one of our loyal readers and friends, has passed to the rainbow bridge. She herself was a special needs kitty with a rare auto immune disorder called Hypereosinophilic Syndrome. We send our love and condolences to her momFOD Beth and hope that she can be comforted by the knowledge that dear Mrs. Phoebe will always be with her in her heart.

Ms. Phoebe
Ms. Phoebe

Thank you, Beth, for having the courage to love a special needs pet. You stepped up and really did your all, and we hope that more people will take your example and open their hearts to the love of a pet who may not be quite physically perfect but is still whole within.

To Dear Ms. Phoebe

Fly free and know that you’re loved

Forever, always.

Love,

Crepes.

    • Thank you, she is the one who I owe everything to and had the privilege of being her Mom. I suppose all Mom’s feel this way, but it is so true about kitties for sure.

  • I’m so sorry to hear you lost your friend. We will definitely be praying and purring for her mommy and all of those who were close to her. Please pass on our condolences.

    • Thank you Flynn, we know it has been a difficult year for you and your family having Eric go to the Bridge too. You boys were so bonded and were a true example of brotherly love. I know Phoebe and he are amongst many friends and will be waiting to welcome us when we cross someday.

    • Crepes may be the genius writer of haiku amongst cats, and you Ku deserve the title amongst dogs. Phoebe and I only recently discovered your blog, not realizing Zoe is your sister! Your family is wonderful for all they do to help animals.

  • Oh we are so sad to hear Ms. Phoebe has left her Mom Beth for the Bridge…..I am sure though that Ms. Phoebe will truly ALWAYS be with Ms. Beth in that special place in her heart that we kitties occupy FOREVER. Ms. Phoebe was a beautiful kitty – inside and out.

    Hugs, Sammy

    • Thank you Sammy, you are right you babies do remain with us always. You are such a sweet mancat, a ginger prince. It is so evident how much your Mom and Dad love you and I know your friends and fans do too.

  • I too was very sad to read this. Ms. Phoebe and her human are loyal followers of many of our blogs, including mine. 🙁

    • You are so kind Sparkle, thank you. Phoebe and I are big fans of you and your sisters- she had much in common with your snarky and intelligent observations on life and we humans. You are quite a ladycat.

    • Thank you Layla, she always loved looking at the photos of your boys, especially Merlin. I swear she could sense he was a senior kitty too, as well as being handsome of course! You should be commended as well for taking on four boys with special needs- the medical care, patience, and unconditional love you provide them is so compassionate. I know losing Gris Gris so recently yourself has been hard, it never is easy to say goodbye especially when it comes on unexpected. Love to your family.
