Tuesday Haikusday: Exile, Part Deux

You Guys,There are boxes. Lots of them. Some of them, I explored. Some of them I cannot for they are filled with things. My things, the FODs’ things, the house things. I think it’s happening again. I think I’m going back into…exile. I haven’t any recourse presently but to express myself through haiku. Eh hem…

I see these boxes. Inwardly, I weep.

Inwardly, I weep as I sit on box “pequeno.”

I see the boxes

Am I to be boxed up, too?

Exile comes again.

I will count the days

Until I can return home.

Scratch numbers on walls.

What will I find there?

Checks mix, Esteban, or worse?

I fear for my mind.

I don’t know yet when it will happen…. but I know it’s coming soon. Prepare yourselves.

PS. Last week’s Bachelor Philbert found a home!!! So I have reverted to the previous week’s bachelor Wolfie. Maybe he can find one, too!  Hurray for Philbert!

After scheduling this post filled with jokes and good news, we got some sad news.

I would like to dedicate this post to Levi, the blind/deaf senior kitty we have written about so many times. He’d found his forever home only a few months ago and started a new job as a therapy cat, but then, just this Monday, our little friend crossed the Rainbow Bridge. We are so thankful that he found his forever home before then with Katie, a wonderful lady who does so much for special needs cats.  It’s astounding how much he touched our hearts through the internet, through his photos and his beautiful face. His loss has brought tears to many, including us, but his life brought joy. Levi, we love you and we will miss you.

Goodbye, Levi.

Goodbye, Levi.

Tuesday Haikusday: Jam with Ku

You guys!

Did you know that I have a doggie buddy that loves to do haiku, too? It’s true! And his name is Ku!

It's Ku in a hole! Photo by Jo Danehy.

We decided to do a haiku jam together. Ku’s in purple, I’m in pink. What do you think?

Snow pup wrestle-ing
My favorite kind of play
Me master wrestler

I like to eat bees.
MomFOD says I shouldn’t, though.
Her eyes turned, I strike.

Nalle catches flies
But I play with my spider
Stuffy squeaky toy

This morning, a moth.
Tomorrow, I’ll get that fly.
Also, I hunt string.

Strings are not fur me
Giant ropes to shred are fun
Chew toys to destroy

I like boxes, too.
I’ll take your chew toy boxes
And sit inside them.

I sit on my beds
But Nalle likes to chew them
And sometimes gut them

Gutting is best done
On things that contain catnip
And also on trout.

Now we’re talkin’ fish
Playtime done, now time fur treats
Sardines fur me please!

I will eat sardines
And then I will nap all day
With my dog friend Ku.

Ku recently did a jam with some of my favorite kitties from Da Tabbies O Trout Towne. Check it out! Also, visit Ku to see more haiku at http://haikubyku.com   Woooo Woooo!!!
