ASPCA App for Lost Pets

You guys!

Since I ran a piece on two pets yesterday who are missing, I wanted to follow up on that today with a post about what to do if your pets get lost! I can’t imagine being lost (I’m in exile, though, in case you forgot) and I know that my DadFOD would panic if I got away. He’d probably curl up into a little ball inside the couch or something and wouldn’t know what to do. That’s where the new ASPCA app comes in handy!

This is how DadFOD would look if I got lost.

In its very first interactive app, the ASPCA has put everything you need into one place for easy access. Upon opening the app, you get a news stream of the latest ASPCA news. If you go to the menu, you have options for “missing,” “disasters,” “records” and more.

If your pet goes missing, the app takes you through a series of questions to help you narrow down where your pet might be. For instance, is it a cat or a dog? Does he do well with strangers? Are there lots of places to hide? Where was he last seen? Then it comes up with a list of places for you to check and things to do, which is really helpful in a panic situation.

It even helps you make a missing pet flier with a photo of your pet from your phone that you can send out to all your social media channels, saving valuable time.

If your pet is lost, this app helps you become your own detective!

The “disasters” option gives you a checklist to prepare for storms or other natural disasters that might take you out of your house. You can even store your pet’s records, microchip ID number, and vet and medical information in the program for easy access.

The app doesn’t ask for any bizarre permissions, just for access to your photo gallery. It’s small at 4mb and seems pretty streamlined. The ASPCA also gives you a direct link to its twitter account and to information on its organization and Instagram stream. If you like the ASPCA, it’s a great way to keep in touch with the added bonus of helping your pet in the event of an emergency!

You can download the app for free on iPhone and Android.

Stay safe!

Love,

Crepes.

Ask the Psychic with Psychic Source: Lost Pets Edition

You guys!

crepesmedium

Today, I once again act as the medium between your questions and Nancy at Psychic Source. This month, we have two questions, both from people who have lost their beloved pets. My hope here is two-fold:

1) to bring a little comfort or aid to the people who have lost their pets and

2) for all my readers to see the lost pets in the hopes that they might be able to bring them home again.

First, we have Jacques.

Jacques has been missing from Chicago, IL for a little over one year now.

Here what Nancy said about Jacques:

The first feeling I got when I looked at the picture of Jacques is the fact that he is very much alive. My 2nd feeling was of the pain you feel about missing him and loving him. What I want you to know is that Jacques was found by a blonde haired lady near some type of water in a park. She took him home, and I feel he is 16 miles from you. I see a loving couple with a young boy with him now. He is happy, but does miss you. I do not feel they have seen any information about you looking for him. He is well cared for and loved by this family. Although it hurts to have lost him, I feel you should be happy to know he is doing well and gets a lot of attention and love.
.
If you, reader, have seen Jacques, please contact Patricia. I would also be happy to act as the medium and you can contact me, as well. Jacques’ family is desperate to have him back. Any information (serious information only, please) is welcome.

Next, we have Artemesia.

She has been missing since May 21, 2012 from Lattimer, Mississippi near Ocean Springs and D’Iberville. She has a microchip for identification.

Her person said:
We would like to know if she is still alive and if she will ever come home? We would love to know where she is at and what she has been doing all this time?
Nancy replied:
I want you to know that she too is still alive, but not doing as well as Jacques. I feel there was a young teenaged male who took her home. I see a lot of kids in a family with her and she is unhappy. Some of the kids pull her hair, and don’t treat her so nice. She will run away from this family, and I feel she looks for her chance to run away every day. Some days they forget to feed her and I just feel they don’t mean to hurt her or forget to feed her, they are just always busy. There is a good chance that you will reunite with her, somehow, some way. Don’t give up on her, and keep pictures of her missing out there. The Tarot cards indicated a happy reunion, so I will pray for that to happen for you.
Arty: Please help find her!

If you have any information on either Jacques or Arty, please let us know! Their people are desperate for their safe return. Please share their info, especially if you live near any of the cities or surrounding areas from which they went missing.

If you’d like to have a psychic reading, you have two choices: One, submit a question to me either in the comments or via CrepesATcatinthefridge.com with photos of your kitty. Or Two, contact the pet’s division of Psychic Source and arrange a reading!

Love,
