Bachelorette of the Week: Princess Phoebe Butters! ADOPTED

Update: ADOPTED!!! Within one day of posting. Was it me? Who knows, but hurray!

World, today I have for you a bachelorette whose name deserves to be screamed from the rafters of a Medieval dinner party in the spring. Please welcome:

Princess Phoebe Butters!!!!!!

All Hail Princess Phoebe Butters!

All Hail Princess Phoebe Butters!

Now, Tree House describes her as “the prettiest kitty in all the land.” I’ll amend that to “the prettiest kitty in all the land who is no longer adoptable from Tree House and has all four of her legs.”

Princess Butters bestowed her presence upon the House of Trees in December of 2015 when she demanded to be removed from her outdoor circumstances. It would seems that she had once been princess of another land but was overthrown from her kingdom due to some nonsensical reasons that no one could possibly fathom. Apparently, her previous captors tried to contain her power by having her claws removed. HISS! Although she no longer has her beautiful claws, she still loves human companionship and is most interested in one on one play sessions. She would do best in a kingdom all of her own, or possibly with another co-princess of a similar disposition. Although it’s not very royal to mention, Princess Phoebe Butters may have a touch of the IBD. This has yet to be confirmed.

If you need a Princess to rule your heart, seek no further! Princess Phoebe Butters awaits! All hail Princess Butters! Long live the Butters!

Awaiting her new court at The House of Tree.

Bachelorette of the Week: Raja!

You Guys!

It’s time for another Bachelorette of the Week! But before I announce her, I’d like to take a moment to acknowledge my recent absences from the blog. Acknowledged. And now….

…meet Raja!!!!
::insert wild applause here::

The amazing Raja!

The amazing Raja!

Raja is fifteen years old. She has lots of fabulous orange stripes, and she enjoys brushing, petting, and nebulizing. What’s that, you ask? Nebulizing means she uses a little spa-like mask to help with her chronic rhinitis. Sure, she might snore a bit, but what kitty doesn’t? (I don’t.) She also appreciates tiny foot massages whilst she enjoys her time in the spa.

Also, Raja enjoys fine dining – only the best, hypo-allergenic deliciousness for her. And if you stray from this? She’ll diarrhea all over you. Not intentionally, of course. It’s just her little body’s requirement, along with anti-inflammatory medications to treat her IBD. Also, her liver values are slightly elevated, along with her taste in fashion and decor. No red blankets, please. They clash with her fur.

And, in case you were wondering if Raja’s special needs stopped there, we’ll let you know that they don’t! Raja is also being treated for mammary cancer, but it was caught early and she’s doing fine. She may also be hyperthyroid, but wait till you see how she loves to snuggle and burrow into blankets!

If you feel like you have the right stuff for Raja – the ability to keep up with her diet, medications, royal spa treatments, and fashion-oriented, purple and/or green toned blankets and furniture, call Tabby’s Place today!  She’d love to meet you and have you brush her.

Or, if you think her tastes are just slightly too demanding for you, consider being her sponsor. She would be really pleased to know you care.

PS. Raja is also a recipient of the Linda fund, which I mentioned last week. Tabby’s Place is still collecting donations to replenish their fund for helping the most needy kitties with emergency medical care. Please take a moment to learn about it and even offer a a donation – all donations are being matched by generous companies so your dollars will go twice as far.

Bachelorette of the Week: Faith

Today, we have a special treat for you. Meet Halloweenie cat Faith. I know, she’s not entirely black, but she’s blackish, and when you hear her story, you won’t care what color she is!

Trick or Treat.

Trick or Treat.

Faith was picked up by DuPage County Animal Control with a Tree House microchip. She was part of a TNR program at Tree House in the Bucktown neighborhood. Somehow, she ended up 25 miles away from her colony looking for love! As you can see, distance means nothing to Faith in the search for her forever relationship.

Faith has been at Tree House since 2009. She sometimes guards the hallway filing cabinets, often times keeping them safe from her own tail. She has a strange notion that her tail is out to get her, even in her sleep. I know her pain. Faith may also have a touch of the IBD, so her cute little insides get a little irritated from time to time. She’s estimated to be ten years old and loves people.

As you can see, Faith is in desperate need of someone to tell her that she’s safe, from the world, from her tail, from everything. Will you be that person? Come meet Faith! She’s waiting for you (and avoiding her tail!)

WANTED: The Intruder. Reward of love and snuggles offered.
