It’s finally here! I have finished my work with the BlogPaws/Halo Adoption Champion project and Tree House and have put together this handy dandy handout to be given freely to all rescues and anyone looking to take better portraits of their adoptable pets! I have enlisted the aid of the lovely Victoria Sprung, photographer extraordinaire, and MomFOD to provide some tips for better photos. Page one is for the basics and page two is for those lucky enough to have a DSLR. Download the PDF here: CatInTheFridge_QuickPhotoTips
Tree House Panther, photographed using these here tips!
Of course, lovely readers, you may also use these tips to take photos of your own babies. If you find it helpful, let me know! I’d love to see the photos you come up with after reading this.
A big thank you to Tree House for working with me on the project and to Victoria Sprung and John Boehm for volunteering their talents to photograph kitties, and also thanks to DadFOD for designing the handout’s layout. This was a team effort and I couldn’t have done it without you!
Captured with the same tips shared here.
Please share far and wide. Beautiful portraits help pets get adopted!
PS. Unicorns cry when people forget to vote for The Inheritance.
Happy Thanksgiving to you all! I listed everything I was thankful for yesterday so that today I could focus on the important part of my site: Bachelor of the Week! Since it’s T-Day, I wanted to do something a little special. I’m going to present to you a wonderful kitty named Jean Valjean, followed by an extravaganza of photos from our last photo shoot with Tree House! Special thanks to John Boehm for his beautiful photos! (Also, see the bottom for our Steamy Pups Giveaway winner!) Without further ado…
Jean Valjean. Un medium-sized amour.
Meet Jean Valjean! Described by Tabby’s Place as a medium-sized tabby, we’d like to point out that sometimes medium is just right. It was perfect for Goldilocks and could be perfect for you, too! This particular Jean Valjean is far from miserables, but he is a little timid. He would prefer a home where the people are more medium-sized, rather than petit or small, i.e. children. Jean Valjean has FIV, although he’ll remain healthy as long as he’s well cared for. It kind of makes him sound romantic, though, doesn’t it? Jean Valjean, with the malaise of FIV, is looking for love, for his one, his only, his perfect fit, his medium soul mate. Will it be you? If you’d like to meet Jean Valjean, contact Tabby’s Place. Remember, distance means nothing if the love is true. Bon amour. Tres magnifique. Voulez-vous pet Jean Valjean sesoir? Le purr.
And now, let the T-Day extravaganza begin! If you see any kitties you like below, contact Tree House! Act fast! These little guys are gonna go like hot cakes.
PS. And the winner of our Steamy Pups is….. dah dah dah! Jan’s Funny Farm! Congrats, Jan. The Honest Kitchen will be sending out your prize as soon as I collect your shipping address!
