Tuesday Haikusday: Naps

Apparently today is “National Napping Day.” I believe I just produced some lovely haiku about napping, and yet I am compelled to produce more to celebrate this most sacred of days.

Eh hem…
Crepes Haiku Zen Cat
Grumble, grunt, and snore.
Outside, I am restless but
In my soul, I dream.
I kick tiny paws
Running so hard I take off
Always on four feet.
Curled into a ball
Tiny paws tucked on my nose
Fifteen times a day.
What do you guys dream of while you nap?

  • sleep purr chance ta dreem
that bill dood new hiz stuff huh
    we dreem oh fried fish

    nite mare: dreem oh burd
    burd iz in R dishez…help

  • Treats, of course. If you are a cat, isn’t everyday National Napping Day? XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo

  • Our Mom loves naps–even more than we do… Can’t get enough of them. Lazy ass. Get up and feed us!!! So in honor of divine napping, here goes:

    Please keep the noise down.
    I’m working very hard here.
    Slumbering away.

    Snuggled in blankets.
    Paws twitching, whiskers trembling.
    Hunting mice and birds.

    Yawning and stretching.
    Consciousness is annoying.
    Must take another.

Serafina, Arya, Iggy, Teddy, and Useless

Pee Ess: The only reason Mom is awake right now is that she had to take her car into the shop for repairs this morning. Otherwise, she would probably be on her fifth nightmare.
