Tuesday Haikusday: Napping

Good day, astute Readers.

I am glad you have returned for another installation of “Tuesday Haikusday.” Please join me as I wax poetic about “napping,” as suggested in a previous post by reader Sammy of One Spoiled Cat.

Eh hem…

Soft pillow holds me
Molded to my body’s shape
While I nap so hard.
.
In the dark I lie
Yet in my sleep, I’m truthful
Who can blame me now?
.
A timeless, classic,
Ancient way to pass the time.
Sleep waits for no one.
.
What do you want to hear about next time?
.
Love,
.
Crepes.
PS. Kitten season is coming.

  • In the Olympics
Our human would win the Gold
    She is flopped out now.

    Lying on the couch
    Under the fuzzy blanket
    Hogging all the space.

    We are just amazed
She takes more naps than we do
    Puts us cats to shame.

  • First choice is kitten season. Second choice is bacon and coffee. Why? Even though they are bad for humans (and kitty) they smell so good when cooking on a cold, icy winter morning.

  • This was a good set! I actually think some haikus about kitten season, and the need for spaying and neutering, would be good.

  • Well done Crepes – your “odes to naps” turned out beautifully well and, in fact, made me a bit sleepy (yawn)……..I’m glad you thought it was a haiku-worthy idea! Have a super day!

    Hugs, Sammy the Napper
