You know how MomFOD is all picky about our diet? “Eat this raw stuff, Crepes. Don’t eat that rubber band, Crepes. Stop chewing the paper bags, Crepes.” Anyway, she got a call that was all “We heard that Crepes loves delicious, healthy things and we thought she’d want to try this before it’s available to the general public because she’s super amazing and ultra famous.” (Italics, quote, and words in italics are author’s addition) After reviewing the ingredients, she decided it was cool to put in our bowls.

Here’s the lowdown on the Only Natural Pet® Feline PowerFood™:

  • It comes from OnlyNaturalPet.com in two flavors: poultry Dinner and Fish & Fowl Dinner, with meat as the first three ingredients. (I like meat.)
  • Each piece of kibble is infused with something fascinating called PowerBoostTM, a raw, freeze-dried blend of superfoods like green lipped mussels, sea cucumbers, probiotics and pumpkin. Those last two things MomFOD is keen on for keeping our digestion running smoothly (but not TOO smoothly, if you know what I mean). It also has amino acids and essential fatty acids
  • It’s grain, corn, wheat, oat and soy free and made with gluten-free ingredients.
  • It was made in the USA, which these days is an extremely important piece of information, and was formulated by a holistic veterinarian.
  • It’s also an allergy-friendly cat food! (And by that, I mean it’s mean to allergies and good to the cats who have them!)

Let us begin the test!

Louie heard a taste test was coming. He got excited.

Hypothesis: It will be tasty. Louie will shove everyone out of the way to eat it.

The experiment: Four of us appeared for the taste testing. We used scientifically-sound metal bowls so as not to taint the flavor. I sampled it piece by piece while Louie shoveled in mouthfuls in his usual uncouth manner.

Testing in progress.

Conclusion: We ate all of it. Sprinkle also ate Louie’s and part of mine.  In fact, Mrs. Peabody has quite the sensitive tummy and has been going through digestive issues for awhile now. She was having a flare up so MomFOD put her on this food for the last week and so far, no problems. She’s eating it happily and her tummy is sound, or should I say, her tummy is sound-free.

As with many other grain-free foods, there is some pea protein in it, so if your kitty is sensitive to that, take note. I found no fault with the ingredients list. It was very straight forward and impressively free of things we don’ t understand.

Stumps up for this one!

You guys can get a hold of the tasties on April 1, 2015 right here.

UPDATE: Sources say that because of the huge demand for pre-orders, the ship date has been pushed back to May. Keep  an eye on the site at the link above for more details about when you can get your tasty food!

Love,

Crepes.
