My First Blogoversary & The Lil Bub Special Special

Hurray!!!

I cannot believe it. It has officially been one year since we started blogging and it snuck up on us real fast! We are very pleased to have grown so much this year and would like to thank:

  • The Blogosphere at large. You are all incredible people and animal lovers. We thank every one of you that has helped us and answered our questions, allayed our concerns, and pointed us in the right direction. We have too many favorite blogs to mention each one and we discover more every day.
  • Layla Morgan Wilde of CatWisdom101. You were the very first person to reach out to us when we were brand new. You pointed us in the right direction, invited us to the blogosphere, and have served as a helpful mentor and friend. Thank you!
  • BlogPaws! Without you guys, we would not have had some of the great opportunities that we came across this year, like the Adoption Champion project.
  • Tree House, Tabby’s Place, Cat Guardians, Chicago Cat Rescue, Pets with Disabilities, Lovey Loaves, Kitty Bungalow, Harmony House– wonderful rescues that have provided us with information and bachelor/ettes many times over the year. Thank you for believing in us!

We are very proud of the successes we have had in advancing the adoption of special needs pets using humor. And, not to toot my own horn, I put together this little page of our Accomplishments to highlight all of our favorite moments from year one.

We have some exciting news to share with you today, too: We (especially me) will be appearing in the Lil Bub Special Special on Animal Planet this Saturday, February 8th at 9 pm E/P! It’s true. Our friend Bub, THE most famous special needs kitty, chose some of our clips as her favorite ones from the internet to include in her funniest animal clips show. Look carefully, because you’ll see our videos at least three times (from what we heard) – Clips from Hell-Copter, my version of the Harlem Shake, and even a clip of me and my biological brothers and sisters playing under the sheets.Special logo and announcement

To put the cherry on the Sunday (actually it’s Wednesday, but whatever) of our one-year celebration, Bub sent us this great message to commemorate our one-year anniversary:

My Dear Crepes,
Today marks the completion of your first full year of cat blogging. Specifically, you have shared magic with the world for the duration of one complete revolution about the sun. And once you really wrap your head around that fact, you will realize what an amazing accomplishment this is. Congratulations Crepes, you are one of a kind.

We just can’t seem to visit efurrybuddy we want to everyday, which means we are always missing something.
