Tuesday Haikusday: Bats in the Fridge

Today, I have been gifted this fabulous portrait of myself, made up just for Halloween! It was done by the wonderful ladies over at Zoolatry, who are currently celebrating the month as “Boolatry.” This portrait is so artful that it has made me want to wax poetic about the topic of Bat In The Fridge.  Eh hem…

There's a Bat In The Fridge
There’s a Bat In The Fridge

Bat tickles my tail

Mouse whispers into my ear

This is Halloween.

.

Cool, wooden, creepy

The smell of pumpkins wafts up

A spider dangles.

.

Masked Cat. Who Am I?

Flour, butter, egg, and milk

Equals my French name.

.

Thank you, Boolatry.

This picture is really great

My stump, on display.

Please stop over at Zoolatry today to see what they’ve done with this awesome piece of me-inspired artwork. I’m sure it’s something fabulous!

Love,

Crepes.

PS. Midwest Peeps: Don’t forget about CatVidFest in Chicago, this weekend, October 19th. Rocky will be making an appearance, and my momFOD will be there all day wearing my face on her shirt! And she’ll be chatting with Henri, Le Chat Noir’s dad Will. Tickets are $10, showings are at 12, 2, 4, 6, & 8 pm and your ticket gets you in for the whole festival, including comedians, local vendors, celebrity visitors, and an adoption tent! Come say hello!

  • Cool (not the fridge) … your haiku! And chillingly appropriate (no pun intended).
    Happy Meow-O-Ween.

  • You look meowvalous. The mask was all you needed to be Howl-o-ween appropriate. We think you asked about a dough bowl on one of our recent posts. It is an antique wooden bowl that was used when baking bread to mix and knead the dough. Usually handmade, they have a rectangular shape.

      • Ah, yes. It started as Skooter’s (the first cat who came to live here in the ‘8os. Passed on to cat #2, Steamer, then to Lily Olivia and now both Astrid and Calista are trying to claim it. It fits nicely to a kitties body, making it the ideal napping spot. Purrs and hugs, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo
